In the cultural melting pot of Jacksonville, Jacksonville Beach, Ponte Vedra Beach and Atlantic Beach, our team was tasked with transforming a private, residential outdoor area into a lush oasis of serenity that is pleasant to gaze upon and more important, enticing to spend time in. Our process started with an extensive site analysis and design consultation, where we obtained the homeowners wish list for a colourful yet low maintenance landscape that complemented the contemporary style of the home. A selection of hardy native plants consisting of herbaceous perennials and evergreen shrubs that bloom at different times of the year was chosen for their year-round interest and to contribute to local biodiversity. Sustainable materials was key here; we chose reclaimed brick for the walkways and natural stone for the edging to withstand the coast. A major issue we had was the extreme contours of the land, which called for innovative grading solutions to create a gradual slope for proper draining. Skilled landscapers created terraced garden beds for aesthetic appeal while eliminating soil erosion. We then put in a custom irrigation system that optimizes water usage, which fits our sustainability focus even better. The thoughtful designing and painstaking attention to detail kicked-off in strides and produced a stunning outdoor area due to which many wildlife creatures flock toward Adox landscape guest-starring the water fountain. With cozy seating and natural shade created by trees placed perfectly to enhance family time or evenings at home. And the final reveal, which thoroughly impressed the client and left them overjoyed and with their face lit up on seeing the final transformation. The San Marco did both giving the property a face-lift from the street while providing a real look-in retreat space for relaxing and entertaining.
