Sonoma by Urban Botanics Urban Botanics is excited to share the Sonoma , a remarkable transformation of an outdoor space, representing our commitment to quality, creativity, and customer satisfaction. Located in the Bay Area, this shows our unique expertise in landscaping to the Alameda, Oakland and San Francisco areas. With Sonoma, we designed a space to cohabitate with the client while elevating the outdoor beauty of their property. Our team thoughtfully considered the design layout to include native plants and sustainable materials combined into a low-impact garden providing year-around beauty. We carefully selected drought-tolerant plants, including California poppies and succulents, to reflect bold color and textures with minimal water use. Our main challenge came with the site’s steep topography. To address this challenge, we designed a slick terraced layout and used natural stone retaining walls to structurally support each terrace while adding rustic character to the landscape. This allowed us to set up distinct planting zones to support various plant species needing differing sun and water exposures. In addition to all of the rich planting, we included functional space with a custom-designed flagstone pathway weave charm and access for visitors to wander through the garden. A simple water feature provided sound and texture while inviting local wildlife. When completed, the Sonoma exceeded our client's expectations with a beautiful functional outdoor space. This resulted in a quaint outdoor oasis for relaxation and enjoyment, served to demonstrate Urban Botanics commitment to high-quality, outdoor spaces. The client got excited and stated she feels like her garden is an extension of the home built just for her.
