Bluestone Patio with New Craftsman Stoop Prairie Path Group is the proud owner of the recently completed 'Bluestone Patio with New Craftsman Stoop' in La Grange, Illinois, which serves as the perfect blend of functional and beauty. This full landscape was commissioned to renew their former covered space into a beautiful area strongly juxtapositioning craftsmanship and nature. Any landscaping begins with planning and design that reflects the existing features of the house. In this case the center point of the new design is a bluestone patio that is meticulously laid with thick-cut premium bluestone slabs not only for durability but for timeless beauty. Each bluestone slab was selected based on the natural color variances to create a stunning visual mosaic that compliments the natural landscape. This was a complete landscape , therefore in addition to the patio we designed and built a new Craftsman-style stoop that showcases intricate woodwork with natural stone accents that relate to the deep ornamental of the home. The stoop is more than an entry; it serves as a focal point for guests to stop and interact in and around the outdoor spaces. One of challenges of the included but was not limited to the sloping yard. Our goal was to work with the slope of the yard to ensure there was adequate drainage while also providing an inviting level footing. Our skilled team utilized grading techniques and installed a drain that directs rainwater away from the patio and stoop capturing all water runoff and maintaining the health of the landscape. In the end we created a stunning outdoor living area that incorporates elegance, function, and durability. The clients were absolutely thrilled with their bluestone patio, which exceeded their expectations for entertainment with their friends and family and relaxing getaway to unwind at the end of the day. The beauty of the new design coupled with high-quality natural materials not only elevated the house curb appeal but also enhanced the clients outdoor living experience.
