Revitalized Olde Greenwich Cobble Driveway Prairie Path Group is excited to showcase the ‘Revitalized Olde Greenwich Cobble Driveway’ , a beautiful improvement in the unique neighborhood of La Grange. We were charged with the mission of revitalizing a cobblestone driveway that had become weathered, neglected, and sadly fallen out of favor. After a complete inspection of the existing structure, what we discovered was an opportunity to restore the driveway instead of replacing it. We carefully removed any stones that had fallen completely apart or could no longer be salvaged while preserving the ’s historic layout. We utilized high-quality granite cobblestones to restore the integrity and form but ensure more durability, on top providing an elegant classic look to the residence. One of the main obstacles we faced was proper drainage to inhibit further erosion. We built a comprehensive drainage solution, which consisted of permeable materials and channels that redirected water from the driveway and landscaping back towards the street. In addition to providing structural integrity to the cobblestone, it supported sustainable landscaping practices with this solution. In addition, we placed a decorative border using reclaimed brick, which framed the cobblestone pathway beautifully and offered a sophisticated look. Native plantings helped establish a colorful landscape that shines with minimal care while attracting wildlife and pedestrians to the property. Upon completion of the , we successfully provided the homeowner a sensuous, functional driveway that is beautiful. The homeowner was thrilled the product and our craftsmanship, as well as attention to detail, which is customary of Prairie Path Group. The completed result was a sensational driveway leading into the property that enhanced curb appeal as well as the warmth of Olde Greenwich.
