Aiming for a welcoming and welcoming environment that blends with the round the clock urban liveliness, this ambitious conclusion was the purpose to reprogram the entrance of the world-renowned Longchamp flagship store. With an aim at balancing elegance with purpose, we used durable bluestone pavers and custom metal planters to define the space. Designed with a focus on low-maintenance plantings, the green space showcases a selection of perennials and ornamental grasses that add year-long visual interest while standing up to the challenges of the city. Sustainability and resilience are provided by using native plants that make it easy to co-exist and dynamically balance factors in the ecosystem, and the resulting landscape vibrant with elements of contribute to the urban ecosystem. Among the main difficulties in this was the need of space for planting and the harmonization with the building. Our landscape architects worked within these parameters to utilize vertical space with climbing vines in custom trellises, softening the building mass and leading the eye up. This new way did not only create several visual elements, but was also mean for a sustainable design. The end product is an attractive facade that draws the attention of passersby and enhances the customer experience. Across the series, dynamic textures and seasonal color shifts tell a compelling visual narrative that feels faithful to the Longchamp brand.
