Title: Penthouse Container Garden Designed by Christian Duvernois Landscape/Studio The stunning 'Penthouse Container Garden' by Christian Duvernois Landscape/Studio, adapted an under-used Rooftop space at the top of a Manhattan penthouse into a verdant and lust, garden oasis.; Well done. Our design team created these customized container gardens to compliment the urban skyline while creating a peaceful escape in the city. We designed planters that combines style and functionality, built them from high-quality materials, making them durable and resistant to weather conditions. A variety of perennial and seasonal plants were selected to suit the terracotta containers and be able to withstand the conditions of rooftop growing. Large sections were planted and replanted with annual flowers (like box after box of standing petunias and lobelia and snapdraggons) and perennial herbs, bushes, shrubs, trees you it (like surprise lol, but ornamental grasses, for appeal, not necessarily edible). One of the biggest challenges we encountered was achieving proper drainage and soil quality needed for so many different plant species. Our team designed an irrigation algorithm that provides just enough water while cutting down on water waste for sustainable growing. Lastly, we considered the wind exposure common to many high-rise gardens and arranged higher plants to function as a natural windbreak. The outcome is a stunning penthouse garden that not only elevates the beauty of the home but also serves as a serene retreat for the client. Equipped with seating areas, this garden now becomes an ideal destination for entertaining guests or meditating with skyline views. The happy client commended us for our meticulousness and for seamlessly incorporating nature into their urban living, marking that they have gotten the vision they were after.
