Native Nebraska Retreat Lanoha Nurseries is excited to showcase the 'Native Nebraska Retreat' landscaping that respects Nebraska's natural beauty and promotes outdoor living for our clients in the Omaha metro area including Bennington, Boys Town, Elkhorn, Valley, and Waterloo. The featured a careful landscape design which used only native plants that create an ecological landscape, well suited to the local climate. Specialists on our team chose drought tolerant species including coneflowers, black eyed Susans, and prairie grasses to maintain color and texture year round while conserving water use. Aesthetically pleasing, natural stone pathways brought beauty alongside usability for comfort, as they led visitors throughout the expansive gardens. The first challenge that we took on here was the unequally levelled land of the site that we converted into a few steps of terraced garden peaks. This not only optimized space utilization, but also enhanced drainage and soil quality. We made use of local resources for the garden design such as old timber for raised garden beds and natural boulders for feature decoration to fit in with the natural environment. The completed Native Nebraska Retreat was a showcase of sustainable landscaping practices that will bring both beauty and peace to our clients. In return, the field has become a respite for family gatherings and a home for wildlife, a balance of beauty and utility. The success of this is a testament to our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, and at Lanoha Nurseries, we take pride in every landscape we create that combines customer visions with what nature already provides.
