Lakeside Haven Tasked with the of a lakeside property in Omaha, Nebraska that had once been a simple summer residence, Lanoha Nurseries achieved a stylish outdoor oasis with the Lakeside Haven , marrying nature with modern artistry through the use of stone, timber, and plants. Lanoha Nurseries designed with a focus on function as well as beauty, serving the communities of Bennington, Boys Town, Elkhorn, Omaha, Valley and Waterloo. This outdoor space had a custom designed patio with Bluestone pavers. A keepsake for years of outdoor entertainment. We also planted a diverse mix of native plants and perennial flowers that grew well in the local climate while providing pollen for pollinators surrounding the patio to make it even more of an ecosystem. Organized paths of crushed granite led guests through verdant foliage, providing a lush tour of the landscape. A big challenge on that was the slope of the property, requiring some unique solutions for retaining walls. Our team designed a series of natural stone terraces that served to stabilise the slope, visually, while creating intimate pockets for lounging and gathering. We also added a cost effective drainage solution for rainwater runoff, which will let the garden thrive for years.
