About This Project

Sunnybrook Residence At The Garden Design Studio, we strive to create indoor outdoor spaces into artistic and functional landscapes that reflect their clients' character. Our recent , Sunnybrook Residence, demonstrates our unwavering commitment to quality and creativity in the beautiful neighborhood of West Lake Hills. At the very beginning of the , constructing a garden in such a steep terrain presented multiple challenges, as did arranging for sustainable irrigation strategies. Our talented team overcame these challenges through tiered planting beds to elevate the bed's visual impact as well as slow erosion. To blend into the landscape, we selected locally-sourced limestone boulders to create natural retaining walls large enough to provide structure and beauty. The design incorporates an exquisite combination of native plants, including Texas sage and ornamental grasses that are both low maintenance and drought tolerant. A natural flagstone path is thoughtfully designed to guide the visitor from the entryway through to the backyard office, the space has been designed to define rooms of various purposes in intimate ways. The back office adds charm to a landscape designed to fit multiple seating options, outdoor meetings, and evenings by a custom-designed fire pit, all while aesthetically lighting the lush foliage and architectural elements at night. In the end, the resulted in a stunning landscape that both our clients were thrilled beyond expectations. They now celebrate harmonious living spaces that enhance their lifestyle and that of their friends and family for years to come.
