Front Yard Landscaping - New York by Dragonetti Brothers Landscapes Dragonetti Brothers Landscapes recently completed a front yard landscape in New York that transformed a standard property into a beautiful outdoor oasis. Serving neighborhoods from Astoria to Staten Island, the team embraced the urban climate adaptability of the design as appropriate challenges. This front yard consisted of a combination of native and drought-resistant plants always intended to flourish in New York's climate, using less water. A custom stone pathway built with local bluestone traverses the beautiful plants, creating an inviting entrance to the home. The custom stone walkway was complemented by elegant landscape lighting, illuminating the yard in the evening and creating an inviting feel at home. Our key challenge for the was developing a design that fit within this type of urban property because of limited space and sometimes poor soil quality. Our team presented solutions for both of these design features so we were able to include raised garden beds that utilized good soil and allowed for good potential growth across the landscape. The raised beds also in turn present the visual possibility of a decorative retaining wall made of reclaimed brick that adds character to the other elements of the front yard. The final product was a beautiful front yard that created curb appeal to the residence and served as a relaxing retreat for the homeowners. The homeowners were thrilled with how well the modern elements blended into natural features, attention to detail and professionalism across the overall .
