Avon - Natural Stone Wall Donnellan & Sons Landscaping is excited to describe the advancement of the outdoor aesthetics for a residence in Avon, Connecticut, called "Avon - Natural Stone Wall". This exceeded expectations in craftsmanship and overall versatility in design and serves the towns of West Hartford, Farmington and Avon. The called for a natural stone wall that integrated seamlessly into the existing landscape while being functional and visually appealing. Our team utilized granite and fieldstone sourced locally to give a durable aesthetic that blends very well with the surroundings. The design of the wall is dry stacked to promote drainage and stability with consideration for the New England climate. The had its fair share of challenges related to uneven terrain, whilst also dealing with the roots of surrounding trees. Using due diligence, we engineered solutions for excavation with the surrounding grading to create a solid foundation. This focus on detail promotes a long lasting wall while maintaining the integrity of the surrounding landscape. After all was said and done we delivered a stunning natural stone wall that not only improved curb appeal but also serves as a functional boundary between garden area's and background for seasonal blooms. The accentuates planting beds with native planting for local pollinators to support the whole ecosystem. Our client loved the results and praised our professionalism and ability to deliver a great product.
