River Property Geared for Growing Landscape Services' 'River Property' has transformed an average yard, into an extraordinary outdoor living space, right next to the Russian River. Serving the areas between Sebastopol to Windsor, we put in a lot of hours to combine nature and design to not only beautify the property but to ensure it was sustainable and provided a healthy habitat for the environment. We kicked off the by fully analyzing the site, to address the unique issues associated with water and the layout of the area. Our experienced landscapers, included elements of locally-natured plants such as California poppies and manzanita to add greenery and resist flooding. To help combat erosion, we found a balance of boulders placed in key locations throughout the space, along with river rock paths, to help channelize water while still allowing visitors to traverse the landscape. One of the key features of the was a custom-built stone fire pit that not only serves as a gathering space, but also elegance to the . Our reclaimed wood was used for seating, to incorporate the rustic feel of the , while meeting our mandates regarding sustainability. We also put in an integrated irrigation system to further limit waste and efficiently utilize resources all while keeping the greenery looking amazing. We also created level outdoor spaces on sloped sites. We graded the slope and terraced beds in certain areas maximizing usable area, without altering the natural flow of the landscape. This created visual layers, which ultimately leads the visitor’s eyes toward the beautiful views of the nearby river. Overall, the landscape is visually stunning providing areas to relax and enjoy time in and outdoors, and incorporates beautiful flower beds, serene seating, and indoor benefits from the outside. Our clients were so happy with the end product, and appreciated the work afforded to putting their vision into a formed reality, and added to the natural space of the property.
