At the heart of the design is a beautifully crafted, multi-level terraced garden with locally-sourced limestone that integrates the natural topography for stability, aesthetics, and biodiversity. We Utilized native Texas plants, bright colored Lantanas and fragrant Bluebonnets woven into a patchwork that attracts local fauna and provides a local ecosystem. Steep slopes typical for the Cat Mountain site were one of the biggest constraints we had to contend with. We designed and built a series of retaining walls, using long lasting construction materials able to withstand all weather conditions, allowing stability whilst showing attractive visuals. Not only was this the most efficient way to make useful outdoor space, but this method effectively prevented any erosion issues down the hill from the placement of the containers. We also added a calming water feature a fountain with water cascading from a natural stone wall that provides both a central point of interest and the soothing sounds of water to complement their outdoor experience. Adding to this, a custom-designed fire pit with natural stone seating creates a perfect meeting space for family and friends. The end result is a stunning landscape that blends a functional out lay but an aesthetically pleasing surroundings. The clients were ecstatic with the seamless transition from inside their outdoor living spaces as both a retreat from the hectic world outside and also a venue for entertaining guests.
