About This Project

Aviara Tropical Designed and constructed by the talented craftsmen of G7 Landscape Design & Construction, Aviara Tropical embodies our own dedication to high service in landscape design. This was located in Carlsbad, California and was designed as a vibrant tropical oasis that blended beautifully with the surrounding natural setting. The incorporated a variety of lush, drought-resistant plantings including colorful hibiscus, fragrant plumeria, and gorgeous hanging bougainvillea for long lasting beauty and design, all of which were selected to perform well in the local environment. A water feature was also included to help accentuate the oceania style, as well as natural stone pathways for a natural feel and flow throughout the entire space. One of the challenges of the existing climate to begin with was the changes in elevation on site, requiring creative grading solutions to provide necessary water and soil drainage. To work through the mobility side of the design we created a tiered garden, where walking is always a generative experience. We procured the highest quality materials available for construction, such as permeable pavers and local stone to be sustainable and long lasting, thus minimizing our footprint. The final result was a spectacular landscape that not only delighted our customer, but also elevated the aesthetics of their property. The Aviara Tropical is now a relaxing get away that provided comfortable gathering space and placed a focus on the plants and relaxing sound of water.
