La Mesa Waterwise La Mesa Waterwise is a developed by the team at G7 Landscape Design & Construction, combining progressive landscaping with sustainable design. Located in Carlsbad, La Mesa Waterwise was designed with intent as an outdoor space that is both beautiful and sustainable. La Mesa Waterwise was focused on creating a drought tolerant landscape - to use minimal water, while making the property beautiful. G7 Landscape Design & Construction chose to use native plants of California, particularly succulents and ground covers (both hardy and colorful). The plants selected will bring color and texture year round, while keeping water usage low. There were many aspects to the where the team was challenged and had to think creatively. The slope of the property was quite steep and re quired an engineering plan. The team developed terraced garden beds with locally sourced stone retaining walls. The walls blend with the natural landscape and not only stabilize the slope of the land but give more planting space that serves as a visual impact. The irrigation system was designed with precision to be water efficient. It works on drip lines to conserve water and smart irrigation controllers that adjust watering schedules using the weather. This uses water conservatively while creating a wonderful lush landscape. The end result is a beautiful oasis for the senses. The layout is harmonious, with pathways to circulate, and seating areas for family gatherings or peaceful moments. The clients were very happy with the , commenting on the effort that made their property pretty and sustainable.
