Summary: Lakeside Living Piala's Nursery & Garden Shop Inc. is thrilled to present “Lakeside Living”: the configuration of an upscale lakeside landscape on a serene lake property in Pewaukee, Wisconsin. Lakeside Living demonstrates the Piala's goal of quality, creativity, and customer satisfaction serving the adjoining communities of Big Bend, Brookfield, Delafield, Dousman, Eagle, Genesee Depot, Menomonee Falls, Mukwonago, Muskego, New Berlin, North Lake, North Prairie, Wales, Waukesha, and Wind Lake. The overall design was to create a beautiful outdoor living area that interface with the wild beauty of the lakefront. Our team started with our detailed consultation process, where we could understand the client’s vision and deep dive into functional yet beautiful landscaping. The use of local stone not only adds to the lakefront natural scenery but also makes the materials more durable against climatic elements of the season. -Lakeside Living includes a multi-tiered deck, made of composite materials, which encourages social interaction for family hanging out and viewing the lake. -Native plantings of ornamental grasses and flowering native perennials were selected to maintain biodiversity while reducing annual planting maintenance while also having the added benefit of visual beauty all growing season. -To mitigate the water drainage conditions of the location we added a rain garden that mitigates run-off beautifully (in a sustainable manner) while creating a layer of visual interest in the . Throughout the we challenged our skilled team logistically by working out of a tight access space and having to work around established trees and shrubs. Along the way with careful decisive coordinating we were still able to produce a quality result, that looks aesthetically appealing. The final product is a pleasant landscape of everything the clients envisioned. Stone paths meander to the firepit, away from activity with a backdrop of rich plant life for added screening from neighboring properties in close proximity. The client expressed great delight, how the design contributes to greater enjoyment of their outdoor living experience each season, while contributing to the value of the home.
