Private Residence, Permeable Driveway Piala's Nursery & Garden Shop Inc is excited to share our newest landscaping , the 'Private Residence, Permeable Driveway', situated in Waukesha. This was designed to solve a very common problem in a unique way that addressed both the aesthetic considerations and better practice. The homeowners were looking for a means of managing water runoff, while still having an attractive entrance to their home. We designed and constructed a permeable driveway with permeable pavers. These are pavers that allow water to filter through, lessen erosion, and eventually foster groundwater. By selecting these pavers, Piala's was able to tackle some major environmental concerns, while still looking great and being appropriate for the natural surroundings. As is common in many landscaping s, we faced a few obstacles when designing and implementing the objectives of the ; we were dealing with slope and existing soil conditions. Our experienced team excavated and graded accordingly, to ensure that water would drain appropriately. We also provided a stable gravel subbase for pavers to rest on that supported proper drainage of water, and mitigated concerns sometimes associated with water pooling, and even runoff. This is what Piala's prides itself on doing, paying close attention to EVERY detail to eliminate any potential issues. As part of this , we enhanced the existing landscape by choosing native plantings that serve as a contrast to the cleanness of the driveway while thriving in the local ecosystem. We implemented mostly low-maintenance shrubs and perennials to not just emphasize the driveway and mitigate its presence, but to create a place of welcome atmosphere for the homeowners and their guests. In the end, we had a wonderful looking driveway that added functional beauty, while at the same time, achieved the outcome the owner wanted concerning better environmental practice.
