STONE FIREPLACE ADDITION by Coogan's Design Build Coogan's Design Build has recently completed an incredible Stone Fireplace Addition in the Charlotte area, giving this outdoor space a beautiful and comfortable living area for gathering all year-round. While we serve the greater Charlotte region, including communities like Fort Mill, Lake Wylie, and Weddington, we were asked to create an upscale and inviting focal point that would not interfere with the natural beauty of the area. This specific involved a beautiful stone fireplace designed and built with natural stone quarried locally to closely match the home and its surroundings. The fireplace was done in a rustic manner while the addition of the stone patio allows for more seating and entertaining area. Our team also used quality materials built to last and withstand the elements, providing the homeowner with a durable investment. The only difficulty in this came from the terrain being uneven, requiring grading and drainage solutions to provide adequate support for the fireplace and patio. Our crew was able to analyze the area and create a solution with grades and elevations that worked, considering all finishing touches that enhance the overall comfort and usability of the area. The end result reflects the homeowner's design and provides a stunning outdoor gathering space with ample seating that provides an inviting area for cool nights under the stars.
