Article Title: Kinghorn Gardens: Beautiful Park-Like Backyard Section: s Date: 14th March 2023 Author: Kinghorn Gardens Located in the center of Omaha, Kinghorn Gardens was the proud completion of the 'Charming Park-Like Backyard' turning a simple looking backyard into a little oasis. Our team embarked on this uniting nature and beauty for the communities of Bellevue, Bennington, Boys Town, Carter Lake, Chalco, Council Bluffs, La Vista, Millard, Papillion, Ralston, and Elkhorn. The included a wide variety of native plant species chosen for seasonal appeal and minimal maintenance. Perennial plants that are lush, annual plants that are colorful, and ornamental grasses were carefully planned to bring in year-round interest and foster local biodiversity. An inviting path of locally sourced flagstone winds its way through the garden, offering both a sense of exploration and peace. The backyard's slope was one of the major challenges where we had to put in tiers of flower beds and grade the slope to ensure that there was no erosion and the area is usable. We then came to the issue of stabilization but our expert team handled this obstacle by building a durable retaining wall using natural stone that not only stabilized the landscape but also made quite the adornment! The outdoor patio space complete with custom built in seating, a firepit, made for a nice gathering place amongst family and friends. Soft outdoor lighting to transition the backyard into night and wrap it in a soft inviting glow was the final touch. What emerged was a jaw-dropping park-like sanctuary which not only pleased the client but completely transformed the experience outdoors. The 'Charming Park-Like Backyard' exemplifies both function and beauty and showcases the quality craftsmanship and creative landscaping solutions Kinghorn Gardens are known for! Apart from improving the appearance of the property and making it more visually appealing, this significantly increased the total value of the property, proving the magic of professional landscape design.
