This included a complete landscape overhaul of the outdoor spaces which now provide a peaceful retreat and integration with the surrounding environment. Before we could begin sketching out plans, our team performed a comprehensive site analysis to gain an intimate understanding of the landscape and each of the client's desires. An ideal combination of native plants, ornamental trees, and flower beds that stand out in all seasons helping to create a low maintenance solution. By using organic soil amendments and drought-resistant plants, we ensured health and resilience for the long haul. Perhaps the best highlight of the Dover Home is the custom stone patio built with granite from a quarry in town. This backyard extends the home with a refined outdoor living space that features a fire pit and seating wall ideal for gathering around. Dips and rises were addressed with smart grading and strategic drainage approaches to create a geometric but picturesque stride. By filling in the void with a winding path populated by flowering perennials and decorative boulders, the aesthetic is enriched, while greater movement is facilitated within them. We hand-selected materials that not only suited the architecture of the home but also withstood the elements. The end product is a stunning landscape which not only fulfilled the client brief but surpassed it. Beautiful to behold and well-considered, the Dover Home has become a mere shadow of the bland and generic landscaping design that once held it hostage.
