TITLE: Contemporary landscape by a Blade of Grass Contemporary Landscape, a recipient of A Blade of Grass Contemporary Landscape, is located in the heart of the Boston metropolitan area. Working with a diverse clientele around Acton, Belmont, Wellesley Communities, our team created a modern backyard where none existed. The championed crisp lines, strong geometry, and a natural palette of local stone, durable wood and colorful drought tolerant plantings. Highlights consisted of a large back patio area, tiled in ornamental porcelain pavers, that expanded the home outdoors. Accompanying this was a bespoke fire pit ideal for family and friends to congregate around under the stars. Throughout the , one of the biggest challenges we encountered was the slope of the land. Our expert team graded the land, providing a level and inviting area, as well as ensuring drainage to eliminate water pooling. Such attention to detail not only added to the beauty but also preserved the integrity of the surrounding nature. A modern water feature installation gave the balcony a tranquil centrepiece, creating the perfect calming environment that the client loved. Designed with native-species selection to maximize biodiversity and reduce maintenance but provide interest throughout the seasons with plantings that bloom in succession. The end product was a beautiful modern landscape that was above and beyond what the client could have imagined. They were very happy with the commenting how the outdoor space perfectly encapsulated their modern lifestyle while gifting the user a peaceful escape from the busy city. With our focus on quality and sustainability, a Blade of Grass has proven once more that design-forward landscaping can elevate outdoor spaces into unique experiences.
