Oakland Garden Nest Residential Landscape This glimmering Garden Nest Residential Landscape showcase is a blending of lumber and lush greenery, straight from the heart of Oakland, California! We were commissioned to turn a dull, uninspired yard into a thriving oasis that would complement the surrounding environment. Here, the contains a detailed landscape with different types of natives arranged together to promote biodiversity and minimize water usage. A large stone patio surrounded by landscape made from locally sourced flagstone to reflect the rustic character of the area is a gathering focal point. To combat undulating ground we used a terraced garden design to utilise space effectively as well as introduce layers of eye interest with different heights of plants. We created a relaxing water feature as well to help with the calming nature of the place alongside providing local wildlife a home. To ensure sustainability, our team chose sustainable design elements, including permeable pavers, which are ideal for driveways because they promote proper drainage and reduce runoff. The end result is a beautiful landscape that not only fulfilled the dreams of our client, but far surpassed them, with splashing walkways filled with perennials and an exciting vegetable garden inspiring sustainable living. The client was thrilled with the final results, and commended us on the attention to detail and craftsmanship as well as for harmonizing the landscape with the natural terrain.
