Swimming Pools by Harmony Design Group Harmony Design Group is excited to feature its latest landscaping , a beautiful swimming pool installation. The brief for the was to combine beauty and practical usage in their residential backyard in Westfield, New Jersey. The client wanted the backyard to blend into nature, while at the same time have a beautiful, luxurious feel to relax in. Our team had to figure out innovative design solutions, given that the backyard area was sloped. As a result, we planned a terraced approach to the yard by including a natural stone retaining wall made from locally-sourced granite to built an appealing, multi-level space around the pool. The pool itself was finished in gunite and had mosaic tile around its border, which glimmered in the sunlight offering both beauty and durability. The pool deck was another element we included, built from weather-resistant composite materials to achieve a safe, slip resistant surface for friends and family to lounge on and around. Beautiful landscaping surrounds the pool, including a mix of native plants and ornamental grasses that added beauty and sustainability by featuring lower water usage. All of our work is displayed in the fine of craftsmanship, in the elements of the coping stones and the modern lighting of the pool that completed this amazing residential backyard retreat. The final result is a peaceful environment that far exceeded the clients vision, with a perfect space for relaxation and entertaining.
