Waterfront Patio & Landscape Completed by: J. Bucci Landscape Design Situated on the tranquil shores of Long Beach Island, J. Bucci Landscape Design's 'Waterfront Patio & Landscape' inspires a sense of outdoor living that showcases elegance and function. Serving communities across Barnegat to Tuckerton, our team was tasked with the challenge of transforming a simple waterfront property into an incredible outdoor living space that complemented the natural beauty of the surroundings. The included the careful design and construction of a large patio area in engineered porcelain pavers that look just like natural stone but with the durability porcelain has to offer. Accompanying the patio was a beautiful fire pit surrounded by custom seating, both created to be a gathering place, as well as a relaxing spot by the water in romantic evenings. Plantings were added to the landscape consisting of native plants that can handle coastal conditions and attract local wildlife. Low-maintenance perennial plantings with ornamental grasses, not only provide interest year-round but are friendly to the local ecosystem. Our landscape architects also had the challenge of dealing with the unique topography and drainage systems of the property. Creative grading was designed to ensure proper water runoff for the patio area and surrounding gardens. Incorporating indirect lighting features, we were able to light pathways and highlight certain key landscape elements that allowed the overall design to shine brightly after the sun went down. The outcome was a beautiful integration and merging of hardscape and softscape that produced a relaxing yet elegant environment for our clients. The overall result of the not only adds to the outdoor living experience but adds functional and aesthetic value to the waterfront property. At J.
