Short Hills Residence Set against the tranquil backdrop of the Short Hills neighborhood, the Short Hills Residence landscaping , implemented by Richard Hartlage Land Morphology, represents some of the highest quality landscape architecture. Serving the communities of Bainbridge Island, Bellevue, Kirkland, Mercer Island, and Seattle, our team took a large property and developed a master plan where nature meets luxury. In developing the , we took great care for designing within the existing site topography, using native plants and natural landscaping materials, maintaining biodiveristy, and being sensitive to water dring the process. Notable landscape features include a spectrum of drought tolerante plants, arched paths made of local stone, and a water feature as a centerpiece and habitat for wildlife. The existing steep topography was a significant hurdle because our design needed to accommodate the steepness while being sustainable and aesthetically pleasable. Our skilled craftsman created retaining walls from stone and other local materials as part of the , which complemented the landscaping and provided some stability, including drainage concerns. The landscape not only solved issues but also added character and depth to the overall property. The outcome was stunning landscape that enlivened the client's ideas and lifestyle. An inviting space to gather with a fire pit and seating allows friends and family to mix, while gardens provide four-season interest and color. Also, the lighting design throws a subtle hue among the gardens at night that add additional convivial and whimsical beauty. Clients conveyed they were exiting their landscape , but were also sincerely thankful for the quality of work and attention to detail our team brings to every we take on. The Short Hills Residence showcases sustainable landscape architecture while fusing splendour with ecological sensibility and elevates outdoor living throughout this region.
