Front Gate Orthyd. "Front Gate" - One of Katonah's top landscape design & build contractor reveals a chagrin of a homeowners new entry. Martino Landscape Contractors Inc. A majestic landscaping started with the goal of establishing an inviting and attractive entrance that is in keeping with the home’s architecture and improves the curb appeal. It included a gracefully oriented mixture of natural stone paths, selected for their resilience and organic beauty. We wanted a paver path that meandered, encouraging guests to explore all the greenery they had planted, so we chose locally harvested bluestone and granite pavers. With it, we sold some selected native plants or shrubs, cheerful hydrangeas, odorous lavender, ornamental grasses, among others; they not only brought color to the path but also property for biodiversity. The other challenge was the difficult ground surface that needed to be leveled and drained properly to ensure landscaping could last a long time. It as a skilled team that solved these with ingenious drainage systems and strategically planted, seasonally in the know areas to keep this functional and pretty. In addition, we built our own custom wrought iron gate which serves as a glamorous focal point at the entrance. Finely detailed it enhances the natural stonework while providing a barrier of protection that does not compromise visual appearance. Ambient lighting has been laid to highlight the pathway and landscaping that creates an exterior environment for evenings. Our "Front Gate" knocked their socks off above and beyond what our client had pictured, creating an absolutely stunning front gate that felt as though it belonged among their unique landscape.
