SPEC HOME EXTERIOR REIMAGINING BY DAVID FONT DESIGN At David Font Design, we specialize in creating beautiful outdoor retreats which is why we are so proud of our recent 'Spec Home Outdoor Transformation' , showcasing both high quality work and creativity. Situated in the bustling community of Boca Raton, this was a chance to take a tradional spec home and create a stunning outdoor oasis. Phase one started with an overall design plan focused on native plants, sustainable materials, and functional outdoor living areas. We implemented a practical combination of vibrant tropical trees and flowering species, which can provide colourful hues and biodiversity in all seasons. Some of the key materials included natural stone for pathways and patios, adding a positive aesthetic appearance & durability from nature elements. One of the most troublesome features of the site was drainage. The team created a detailed grading system with clever French drains to collect and divert runoff water away so the landscape can flourish free from flooding. We also built a lovely pergola with recycled wood, which adds a nice visual element where we can sit and enjoy the view. The end result was nothing if not magnificent. The backyard had been turned into an entertainer's paradise with a lovely outdoor living area, complete with a fire pit, comfortable seating, and ambient lighting. The attention to detail and quality of craftsmanship we provided put our homeowners at ease and allowed them to enjoy their tranquil retreat, where they feel at one with nature. David Font Design is not defined by the challenges we face; the challenges we face define us meet the challenge with a landscaping solution that will exceed expectations and enhance the aesthetic and value of any property in Boca Del Mar, Fort Lauderdale, and beyond.
