The Brentwood Residence represents a remarkable transformation of a 4,200 sq. ft. two-bedroom home originally constructed in 1937. This extensive renovation involved a comprehensive update of the property, shedding layers of outdated design elements from previous renovations while honoring the home's original charm. The team at DAS meticulously stripped away surface ornamentation from the early 1980s, opting for a warm material palette that fosters a cohesive and inviting atmosphere throughout the interior spaces. In the entryway and master bath, new basalt floors were installed, providing a sophisticated contrast to the existing distressed wood floors, which were carefully planed, sanded, and stained to rejuvenate their natural beauty. This harmonious blend of materials not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also contributes to a seamless flow from room to room. The living room now boasts a custom bar, a luxurious addition that enhances the social dynamics of the space, making it ideal for entertaining guests.
