Water Feature/Rill by Liquidscapes Liquidscapes has recently completed our latest , 'Water Feature/Rill' at a large estate property located in Short Hills. We turned the yard into an extraordinary retreat. This beautiful integrates art and nature with a rill that meanders through a variety of lush plants. It is the perfect space for relaxation and contemplation. We used high quality materials including natural stone and reclaimed granite, and worked to ensure that the filtration system was eco-friendly. We often look to find materials that will stand the test of time while also being sustainable to promote that by design. The intentional rill has soft curves and a variety of depth (depth is important to create movement, visual interest, and sound), which not only adds to the beauty, but also acts as a relaxing sound element and simulates the sound of water in a brook. One of the main challenges of the was the existing natural slope of the property. Our skilled team of professionals took this into careful consideration. They made sure to factor that into design of the rill while maintaining proper water flow and integrating the rill into the site. The entire feature is interesting to look at and encourages movement which is very inviting to guests. Our client was thrilled with the completed , which adds a functional beauty to the outdoor space for entertaining and relaxation.
