About This Project

Terrace Garden by Rock & Rose Landscapes San Francisco In the heart of San Francisco, Rock & Rose Landscapes is proud to showcase the 'Terrace Garden' , which has converted an under-utilized rooftop into an urban garden oasis. We faced the challenge of working with limited space, while ensuring structural integrity and efficient drainage for a successful garden environment. Using high quality, lightweight materials, we installed composite wood decking to increase aesthetics and durability to the exposure of the coastal city. We chose an extensive palette of hardy succulents and flowering perennial plants for an inviting, lush atmosphere and positioned to allow year round view. In keeping with sustainability practices we installed a drip irrigation system that minimizes water use while still keeping the plants healthy and flourishing. We constructed a custom wooden trellis that allows climbing vines to provide shade and an organic backdrop that softens the urban landscape. The outcome is a stunning terrace garden that fully embodies our client’s aspiration for a peaceful escape from the city. With spaces for comfortable seating, with integrated lighting for the evening, a wonderful place for family and friends to gather has been created. Our clients express satisfaction with the finer and the quality of work that Rock & Rose Landscapes is known for. This is a great representation of us creating beautiful and functional outdoor spaces for urban living.
