Lawn Conversion by Rock & Rose Landscapes San Francisco Rock & Rose Landscapes is excited to share all the Lawn Conversion where we created a sustainable and beautiful landscape from a standard grass lawn that related well to the special environment of San Francisco. The whole team stepped into this with the mindset to utilize local nature and materials to create a green outdoor space that uses little water, works well with the natural environment, and performs well aesthetically. The began with the careful removal of the existing turf, which made it simple to inspect soil health and install new, drought-resistant plantings. We incorporated beautiful, high-quality, native plants like California poppies, succulents, and ornamental grasses to build a garden that would respond well to our temperate climate. The permeable pavers selected for the pathways were in a warm, soothing tone - soft earth tones - that looks beautiful and allows for drainage and maintains the yard's area by avoiding runoff. The design presented us with challenges because the was on a steep slope. It was important to maintain, managing erosion risks, which we realized by using terracing with natural stone retaining walls, effectively creating planting beds that add depth and dimension to the landscape. It was an important part of the design as it helped the slope remain stable to build strong groupings of plants. Our team of skilled professionals achieved quality workmanship at every point throughout the . The landscape turned out beautifully as a low-maintenance yard that ties into the neighborhood beautifully. We were grateful the client was happy by expressing their expectations were exceeded in seeing a beautiful, sustainable yard as a space to relax and enjoy.
