Fountain by Geared for Growing Landscape Services Geared for Growing Landscape Services is pleased to present the 'Fountain' which represents beauty and peace in outdoor living areas. From the beautiful communities of Forestville, Fulton, Geyserville, Guerneville, Healdsburg, Larkfield-Wikiup, Rio Nido, Santa Rosa, Villa Grande, Windsor, and Sebastopol, we were happy to fulfill this vision for our happy client. At the heart of the is a custom stone fountain which features deep meaning and wonderful views and sounds. Built using locally-sourced river rock, the fountain creates a tranquil soundtrack of flowing water while blending seamlessly into the natural setting. The artistic design of the fountain has levels offset from each other to allow the water flow to create a relaxing environment to linger, meditate, or just enjoy the ambiance. We also added lush, native plantings immediately surrounding the fountain area that served to enhance the beauty of the fountain. We specifically selected drought tolerant plants which will thrive with little maintenance relative to water consumption while encouraging pollinator activity, benefitting the ecosystem. The plant palette was selected with consideration to texture and color and includes ornamental grasses, perennial flowering plants, and aromatic herbs that will create color all year round. One of the primary challenges we faced was the slope of the site. Our team of talented landscape architects and install team leveled the area to allow a stable base for the fountain and ensure drainage and prevent water pooling. We thoroughly reviewed this site feature so our client can enjoy a fountain that will remain functional while looking beautiful. We also incorporated a custom stone pathway that would take visitors to the fountain and ultimately encourage them to explore more of the garden. The pathway was constructed from natural stone and is shaped with elegant edging so the pathway would be an integrated landscape feature rather than appearing as simply an access route. Ultimately, the Fountain surprised our client and met, if not exceeded their expectations. The fountain is now a beautiful external oasis, an opportunity to create social opportunities, or a simple place for quiet thought when reviewing forever memories.
