Garden of Splendor Welcome to the 'Garden of Splendor', a stunning landscaping by Flora Distinctive Landscapes that turns a mundane garden into a tranquil haven. Set amongst the stunning backdrops of Kremmling, this highlights the balance between nature and modern aesthetics; a perfect representation of our quality craftsmanship. The Garden of Splendor contains many kinds of native plants that are proven to flourish in the Colorado environment while ensuring ecological dynamism. Our crew installed a gorgeous selection of perennials, shrubs and ornamental grasses that will provide seasonal interest throughout the year. Sourced flagstone is used in a meandering custom stone pathway through the gardens that connects focal points, like a tranquil water feature that adds a sensory experience to the landscape. The sloped site was the most obvious challenge taking on, along with the innovative grading and terracing required to form a space efficient multi-level garden. Crafted by skilled hands, large native boulders were put to use as retaining walls, and also as visual contrast against the colorful plant palette while providing structural support to the landscape. Sustainability was also integrated with rainwater collection and drip irrigation systems to minimize water use while maximizing the garden´s environmental impact. The end result is a stunning terrain that blends into its surroundings whilst offering the homeowner a retreat. The clients were overjoyed with the results of their transformation, glad to have a personal taste of their appreciation of nature and outdoor living.
