Napa by Flora Distinctive Landscapes Introducing the Napa Flora Distinctive Landscapes , nestled in the scenic hills of Colorado and embodying our philosophy of creating breathtaking outdoor spaces that blend seamlessly with nature. In the mountainous surroundings of Steamboat Springs, this entailed a full renovation of a private residence into a peaceful escape. Creating a natural landscape complement to the beautiful contemporary home and so the design was based on several key objectives from our clients, to provide a harmonious connection of the home to the beautiful landscape with a continued modern feel utilising mostly native plants with some less common landscape design features and balancing that with a backyard for their home. On the front, a modestly sized custom patio built using locally sourced flagstone served as a durable, yet beautiful, surface for family gatherings. We planted different perennials/ornamental grass flowering with different color throughout season around this patio, in terms making the property more colorful. During the we dealt with a challenge at one section where the ground sloped downhill thus we had to design a creative way of grading it to handle the gravitational water that could lead to erosion, as shown in these results screenshots. Our team of keen gardeners embraced these obstacles and pioneered a tiered garden design that maximizes space whilst producing aesthetically incredible levels of foliage. They had also added a beautiful water feature with a waterfall and pond that drew local wildlife and provided soft background noise to the outdoors. Lush landscapes such as this result in an exquisite landscape in-line with the clients vision. This Napa adds curb appeal to the property while providing an outdoor retreat for relaxation and entertaining.
