Modern Lines by Flora Distinctive Landscapes Credits: Surrounded by the beauty of the Colorado Rockies, Flora Distinctive Landscapes' 'Modern Lines' exemplifies the best in modern landscaping. In this charming town of Steamboat Springs, this design aimed to both balance the beauty of the landscape but also bring sophistication with modern aspects. These features include crisp lines and geometric figures which make the landscape methodically planned. Gorgeous native stone walkways and thoughtfully selected local flora connect outdoor living spaces to the untouched wilderness. Using local materials contributes to the 's sustainability while guaranteeing that landscape merges perfectly with its context. The main challenge on this was the slope of the site and the need to find a way to make level spaces to accommodate this outdoor program. Utilizing a natural boulder tiered design with retaining walls, our experienced team motivated durability and attraction. Water elements, such as a minimalist edge pond both act as a centerpiece, and attract local wildlife one more facet of the biodiversity intrinsic to the landscape. IIt was important for the outdoor lighting to be modern in order to achieved that cozy nighttime atmosphere. Energy efficient LED fixtures artfully highlight the architectural features of the landscape. The outcome is an outdoor space that looks gorgeous night and day. Taking this to the "Modern Lines" level, the final result delivered to the client resulted in all their expectations being more than exceeded through delivering an elegant oasis to rest and entertain clients in. Flora Distinctive Landscapes has created a landscape that is a calming escape highlighting Colorado’s gorgeous backdrop with a perfect balance between organic and modern.
