Shelborne Hotel by SAVINO MILLER DESIGN STUDIO Located in the bustling heart of Miami, the Shelborne Hotel has recently received a terrific transformation by SAVINO MILLER DESIGN STUDIO. The landscaping was commissioned to improve the outdoor spaces of this hotela formal hotel in a tropical context wanting to create an outdoor environment that felt like nature. At the beginning of the , the design team was given the challenge of providing a lush, tropical aesthetic, while creating durable and sustainable spaces that would thrive in Miami's coastal climate. To solve this challenge, it was decided that the design should incorporate select native plantsincluding palms, hibiscus, and ornamental grassesthat would act as the primary planting and could require low maintenance. Along with great plant material, the design team added high-quality materialsnatural stone paths, custom wood decks, and tranquil water featuresthat provide guests with an elegant ambience befitting Miami's tropical beachfront style. A central courtyard embodies the themes of tropical nature and luxury. The courtyard design acts as an oasis with colorful plants surrounding a tranquil koi pond. Comfortable seating areas along with a schemed lighting plan added a seating area surrounded by plantings and water, creating a tranquility that promotes guest relaxation and connection. SAVINO MILLER DESIGN STUDIO'S high-quality design was present through all phases, from planning through installation. There were multiple logistical challenges throughout the process due to zoning regulations and limited access but there were innovative integrated throughout the that established a signature and impactful interpretation of the initial design allows the design integrity to remain. In conclusion with this vision, space has been transformed into a great landscape. The final landscape is ultimately very fulfilling with both aesthetic and guest experience impact. The hotel can enhance its overall beachfront property with its enhanced harmony of nature and luxury. The has now become a focus for guests and staff alike.
