Aventura Optima Submitted by: SAVINO MILLER DESIGN STUDIO Located in a highly desirable area of Miami, Aventura Optima is a conceived and built by SAVINO MILLER DESIGN STUDIO, showcasing our talent and landscape design skills. This transformative landscaping turned an ordinary residential backyard into a resort-like sanctuary. The centerpiece of this included the design of a beautiful multi-level terrace that connected outdoor living space and nature. Our team utilized locally sourced, high-quality materials to develop several garden beds filled with a broad range of native plant species that were sustainable and water-efficient. Included in these plants were drought-tolerant grasses and flowering perennials that bloom throughout the year to provide color and texture to the landscape. The had its challenges due to slope and drainage issues of the site. Our team created a well-engineered system of natural-stone retaining walls that met drainage requirements while adding great visual interest. Permeable pavers throughout the pathway provided an inviting walkway, while managing water. Furthermore, we added a graceful water feature as a focal point and lovely background sound to the space. The gentle sound of water added a tranquil element, providing the opportunity for quiet reflection while enjoying the lush landscaping. The lighting design we created illuminated important features, while inviting the client and their guests to use the space in a relaxed atmosphere at night. At the conclusion of the , a beautifully landscaped yard was created that both complemented the architecture of the home, while enhancing curb appeal. The client was overly pleased with the transformation and was excited to be able to enjoy their new outdoor space a perfect place for entertaining and relaxing.
