Water and Stone by The Peoples Gardening Collective Based in the Greater Seattle Area, the 'Water and Stone' illustrates the work of The Peoples Gardening Collective, transforming outdoor spaces into exquisite and functional landscapes. The beautiful design combined the two natural elements of water and stone, offering an oasis that complements the aesthetic and tranquility of the client's property. The stone pathway features a beautifully constructed stone path as a guide for visitors to flow through as they enjoy an enlivening garden of natives. Hand-selected fieldstone, known for its durability and aesthetic potential, was used to seamlessly connect each outdoor space. The gently bending curves of the pathway, combined with view or site-linked boulder placements, allowed the gaze of the guests to ebb and flow while exploring the spaces. A notable feature of this is the custom water feature that invited relaxation, engagement, and a focal point in the landscape. The waterfall represents natural engagement material, with the soft falling sounds of a calm river as constructed by the artist with collected river stone. The artisans utilized mixed river stone, sourced from the local area, to create the feature to allow for diversity and the inclusion of local wildlife habitats. The initial building plan involved the difficult task of merging the feature into the already slooped topography of the property, while simultaneously exhibiting functionality and beauty. The Water and Stone landscape design also created a designed habitat for pollinators and beneficial insects with a variety of low-maintenance plants that thrive well in the Pacific Northwest and provide seasonal interest. Each plant was chosen to withstand water conservation, while still providing biodiversity and color for the garden. From concept through completion, our skilled artisan works put detail into their craft and the outcome speaks to the attention of the . When completed, the client's completed outdoor space had not only transformed the garden, but had transformed their thoughts on outdoor space management.
