About This Project

S'Mores with the Moores Created by The Peoples Gardening Collective, the 'S'Mores with the Moores' landscape turned a suburban backyard into an inviting space for family gatherings and evenings by the fire. In the heart of Bellevue, this provided the client with a space that was functional and visually pleasing to the eye. The team was charged with tackling the challenge of sloping ground, creating usable, level seating and gathering areas. Using local, natural stone, the team developed an attractive fire pit with built-in, weather-resistant seating that integrated the new feature with the existing landscape. To provide an inviting glow and atmosphere, a soft LED lighting system was added near the paths and the fire pit. The inclusion of native plants assured that the landscaping would improve the aesthetic value of their yard/s, while supporting local wildlife and creating a sustainable environment. In addition, rich, organic soil and a drip irrigation system were added to support effective watering, longevity of the plants, and reduced watering waste. The end result yielded a beautiful outdoor space that the Moores can share with friends and family for roasting marshmallows while enjoying the beauty of the space. The Peoples Gardening Collective's skill and attention to detail helped create a lasting impact for the Moores, developing a backyard sanctuary they can cherish for years to come.
