This recent Natural Stone Retaining Walls is a testament to the quality and craftsmanship we bring to every job for clients in and around Ames Lake, Bellevue, Mercer Island, and points beyond. The consisted of a number of retaining walls that were created to mimic the natural contour of the land at the home owners property which also helped solve some erosion control problem as well as maximise useable space outdoors. A beautiful mix of local natural stone such as basalt and granite was chosen for their naturalistic palette, as well as longevity against the elements. The most challenging aspect of the property was the slope, which the engineers pointed out while keeping us safe and secure. The tiered walls not only help to reinforce the slope, but also create several planting terraces for lush gardens designed by our talented team. With drainage built into the walls, this prevents water from building up and ruining the structure for years to come. The end-bed was an impressive network of natural stone walls that served as both an aesthetic supplement to the property and a much-needed functional basis. The client was thrilled with how the new walls turned their yard into a multi level playground to enjoy our beautiful weather and company. The interior landscape, filled with plotted gardens counterbalancing the stone walls, creates a perfect blend of grace and sturdiness with greenery pouring down the walls.
