Olympic Rockeries Before & After of a Transitional Landscape Transformation Providing a beautiful bridge between nature and modern dwelling, Olympic Rockeries is proud to introduce our 'Transitional Landscape Makeover,' a breathtaking transition that flows the communities of the Pacific Northwest. Set in the beautiful Sammamish, this remains one of our most memorable s, where our team was called to refresh an uninspiring garden area. The first step was an in-depth consultation where we worked directly with the homeowners to understand their ideas and their plans for the interior. With a mix of green, perennial gardens, intricate stone pathways, and a quiet water feature, our design included a full spectrum. Durable, Quality Materials The firm wanted to use quality materials that also add appeal, so it chose durable, locally sourced flagstone, along with green aggregates. Topography was one of the biggest issues that we faced, and we needed to grade the site strategically to ensure adequate drainage and avoid erosion. The talented crew leveled the area with exactness, then built up tiered planting beds to give the area some dimension, and provide for different plant varieties. We also added native plants during the design implementation to ensure that the garden would continue to thrive in the natural climate with little to no maintenance needed. The last step was using well-placed outdoor lights to accentuate specific areas, so the landscape can look great day and night. The final result brought the homeowners their new outdoor sanctuary. The 'Transitional Landscape Makeover' beautified their property and also provided a safe space for family gatherings and personal reflection. Olympic Rockeries satisfied with the incorporation of this open waterways to the surrounding environment, reflecting a beautiful balance between nature and contemporary human-made design, continuing to reinforce successful s in the greater Bellevue, Redmond area and elsewhere in between.
