Description of the Peterson Residence Verde Creations, Inc. Verde Creations, Inc. is excited to announce the completed transformation of the Peterson Residence, representing the spirit of quality and artistry in landscaping. Located in El Dorado Hills, the emphasizes enhancing the beauty and usefulness of outdoor space for the Peterson family. The began with an assessment of the site with which to recognize the challenges posed by sloped land and the existing plants. Verde Creations, Inc. was able to adapt and integrate a multi-level terrace garden through thoughtful placement of natural stone retaining walls and the use of local granite for all stone work. The benefits of a terrace include maximizing useable space and creating visual variety and depth. Having completed the terrace work, the landscape was populated with drought-tolerant plants suitable for a Northern California climate including colorful native wildflowers, ornamental grasses, and drought-resistant flowering perennials, to promote color and texture year-round in an environmentally sustainable manner. Also constructed was a custom pergola structure, climbing with vines, somberly providing shade and an architectural focal point for outdoor gathering. Another feature of the was a calming water feature that serves as a retreat with energy- efficient pumps sourced from high-quality stone that would minimize our ecological footprint. The luscious sounds of pluming water draws people into the space, perfect for quietly gathering their thoughts. Challenges arising from drainage and soil stability were approached and resolved through innovative or best-practice engineering to ensure the landscape would last. Verde Creations, Inc. worked closely with the Peterson family, ensuring their initial vision would be realized, while maintaining our high standard of craftsmanship. The finished garden is pleasing to the Petersons and the finished manifestation, is a beautiful collaboration of useful design, quality materials, and attention to detail that provides them with a space they can enjoy as a family for many years.
