About This Project

Wooden It Be Lovely? The Peoples Gardening Collective "Wooden It Be Lovely?" is a stunning landscape transformation that honors the natural beauty of a private residence in the Greater Seattle Area. Our quality craftsmanship and innovative design is on full display with a practical and aesthetic landscape. We wanted to create a welcoming outdoor space to enhance the relationship between the house and environment. The first part of this outdoor oasis is a gorgeous wooden pergola, built of sustainably sourced cedar, to provide shade and a gathering spot. On the way to the seating area is a modern mosaic stone pathway that leads through an inviting garden filled with colorful native plants suited to the Pacific Northwest's environment. One of the challenges we faced in this is the steep grade of the property. We overcame this obstacle with a tiered garden that optimizes the usable space, improved drainage, and reduced erosion. It took a lot of planning and excavation to build the tiered garden, but we think the results are a striking landscape that invites knick-knack and relaxation. Lastly, we incorporated warm outdoor lighting so the clients could use the space day and night. Their glowing feedback their newly renovated garden space was especially impressive at dusk after the lights had turned-on. This gave the homeowner a peaceful space that met their style, enriched their outdoor living space, and provided a relaxing escape. At The Peoples Gardening Collective, we know what it means to build great landscaping.
