The Newport Coast is a panel of those plants that are native, hardscaped materials and general principles of sustainable design. The plants were selected by our committee so they can continually have a display of drought resistant color which grows very well in the prime climate. The plan is conditional for the staff of the new environment as layered landscaped gardens, paths, and open non-traffic areas which lend themselves to a mellow use of nature. Among the problems that we had was the topography of the sight where we had to work out a proper grading necessary to drain off quickly all excess waters yet invite area which would release any area into a thoroughly economic sight. The product of our skilled staff was to develop natural stone boulders and reclaimed commercial products for use in their overall design. There were built retaining walls to hold up the existing grades consisted so as to have both beauty and effect for our result.
