Ranch House by MDZA Landscape Architecture and Planning MDZA Landscape Architecture and Planning is pleased to announce the Ranch House , a spectacular transformation designed to enhance the stunning Pacific coastal landscapes of Southern California serving the vibrant communities of Corona Del Mar, Costa Mesa, Huntington Beach, Laguna Beach, Newport Beach and Newport Coast. This deftly harmonizes a modern interpretation of ranch functions and aesthetics with the rustic charm of traditional ranch appearance. A warm and inviting outdoor designed space was conceived in which cultivated landscape areas were designed incorporating and composing native drought tolerant plant materials. The grounds seamlessly blend environmental consciousness with the charm and appeal of functional outdoor spaces. An intricately detailed stone path winds through well cultivated plant material culminating in a soft outdoor living area with custom firepit and cushioned upholstered seating, perfect for entertaining, family gatherings or dinners that naturally evolve into dinner parties. A significant challenge found during the was the sloped topography which posed some difficulties in respect of both drainage of the property as well as ease of access. In our explorations, our landscape Architects determined to introduce a terraced garden format which would contain design features of interest as well as present solutions to the effluences of topography. Custom grade retaining walls in manufacture of locally grown materials were provided enhancing the natural landscape and supplying study formulation of the surrounding area. By using sustainable materials such as reclaimed timber for the floors and sheathing of garden patios, permeable pavers for walkways, MDZA affords the homeowner the sensibility of a new environmentally conscious landscape design with all its attention to detail not only to factors of horticultural and aesthetic interest but also to drought sensitive areas where understanding of the environment is of paramount importance hence the important requirement of water reuse to conscientious landscape design. The finished presents a soft harmonious outdoor paradise which realize the vision of the client totally compatible with personal values in respect of both creature comforts and design aesthetics. The Ranch House will serve as a valuable touchstone for MDZA in respect of its dedication to quality treatment in craftsmanship of landscape design coupled with noteworthy emphasis on innovative design.
