Perennial Garden Escape by Kinghorn Gardens One of our latest s, our Perennial Garden Getaway, is a prime example of our dedication at Kinghorn Gardens to sculpting outdoor spaces into beautiful retreats. Nestled in the heart of Omaha we created this 1,500 square foot garden sanctuary to offer constant beauty to our clients throughout the year. This started with an in-depth site analysis which took into account the existing soil conditions and sunlight patterns. We handpicked a selection of perennial plants that bloom at different times of the year to create a variety of colors and textures, such as bold coneflowers, stately daylilies, and fragrant lavender. The paths running through the garden were created with natural stone, using locally sourced limestone to provide a perfect blend of longevity and rustic visually appeal. One of our big challenges was the slope of the land the property sits on, and we built tiered garden beds for drainage purposes there. These beds were built by our team from scratch using high quality cedar wood to not only promote plant health, but to add warmth organically to the design. We also added a drip irrigation system with which every plant received the perfect amount of water while also wasting none and being as environmentally friendly as possible. The end result was simply a stunning escape that mixed functionality & aesthetics. Our clients have been thrilled with both the presence of flowers and how the garden paths lure them around the garden. Combined with the gentle sounds of the new water feature and a few thoughtfully placed seating areas, the Perennial Garden Getaway has become a favorite place to unwind or gather with friends.
