Reservoir Estate - Matthew Cunningham Landscape Design LLC The Reservoir Estate in the center of Stoneham embodies the design principles and precision for which Matthew Cunningham Landscape Design LLC is known for, Residences are a significant undertaking in landscape design, and it was our pleasure to create a cohesive and beautiful landscape that enhances the functionality and aligns with the client's vision. Initially, we performed a site analysis of the property and noted the unique site features such as topography and climate. One design challenge we faced was a completely sloped yard, which we converted to a multi-layered garden oasis with the integration of natural stone retaining walls and terraced planting beds. Not only did the walls provide structural support, but they also added aesthetic value to the landscape. One of the most important goals was to incorporate a robust and sustainably managed palette of native patches to frame the home with colorful interest throughout the seasons. Additionally, we created a custom-designed water feature that adds an element of calmness with a meandering pond and waterfalls that adds life to the site while creating tranquility. The surrounding hardscaping elements provide seamless transitions throughout the property and include bluestone paths and a generous reclaimed granite patio for entertaining with quality views of greenery surrounding the site. The addition of landscape lighting truly enhances the outdoor setting at night. Attention to detail was very much a focus throughout the entire to ensure every aspect (plant selection and material choices) of the meets our standards of quality. The final product is a beautiful outdoor sanctuary that frames the architecture of the home while delivering on the lifestyle and dreams of the homeowners. The final reveal brought immense joy to the client, who was pleased with the transformed landscape. The Reservoir Estate has created a quiet, inviting place to enjoy nature and space for family gatherings. It sets for our firm a new standard in Stoneham for exceptional landscaping of s for our clients.
