Irvine || by Altera Landscape In beautiful Irvine, Altera Landscape instituted an amazing renovation for a property that exemplifies an ongoing commitment to high quality and ingenuity in landscape design. The "Irvine ||" was a complete landscape overhaul for a residential property that improved its functional and aesthetic qualities. Our team incorporated a combination of native California greenery, drought-tolerant species, and vibrant blooms into this plentiful and sustainable landscape. The design features a customized flagstone walkway that meanders throughout the planting beds and other landscape areas in order to lead to a quiet seating arrangement encircled by detailed grasses and a variety of perennial flowering plants. The elegant use of locally sourced building materials enhances the characteristic textures of the and provides a nice visual nexus to the existing environmental context. One of the challenges faced in this was the slope of the property, which presented unique grading obstacles related to drainage and erosion. The staff devised an innovative tiered garden design that incorporated retaining walls constructed from reclaimed wood and reclaimed materials. The retaining walls served multiple purposes: they addressed the drainage obstacles and challenges while also providing a visually appealing feature that married the existing context of the site with the rest of the design. In the end, the produced a quiet outdoor living space that presented the vision of the client. The use of curated lighting to emphasize unique features maintains depth in color and shades, enhances the evening experience, and extends the enjoyment of the space. The "Irvine ||" truly represents Altera Landscape's commitment to high quality landscaping and ultimately satisfied the expectations of the client.
