Washington Place, Culver City Weeds Garden Design Build LLC is excited to share the design and construction of Washington Place in Culver City, California, to exhibit our promise of craftsmanship and creativity in landscaping. Situated within a busy urban setting, this navigated existing challenges while producing a space for relaxation and entertaining even within the constraints of limited square footage. The design itself encapsulates a wide-ranging palette of native plants, specifically curated to flourish within Southern California's climate and use a minimum amount of irrigation. The beautiful assortment of native, drought-tolerant plants were incorporated into the design via California poppies and succulents to showcase year-round color and texture. s also leverage the use of quality building materials like permeable pavers and natural stone, which serves as a sustainable water management design. Another unique feature is the custom-designed pergola made by sustainably sourced wood. This shading structure acts as a social gathering space and blends seamlessly with the existing landscape. Combined with the ambient, integrated LED lighting, the homeowners and their family are able to enjoy their outdoor oasis well into the evening hours. Our team needed to address existing drainage issues during construction, where we efficiently installed a comprehensive drainage system to mitigate ongoing erosion and protect the landscape's integrity. The completed landscape is an incredibly beautiful and coherent outdoor space that pairs functional and aesthetic preferences while keeping the client happy and providing continued functional access to their outdoor environment.
