This large lot had its own set of challenges, especially as there was a slope, uneven ground through the centre of the property as well as a drainage issue. The property posed many challenges with site grading and drainage that our skilled team faced with a detailed plan of attack to prepare the landscape for success with careful grading and tree care to set the trees up for a long and healthy life. Native plants are a prominent and essential component of the Midtown due to their ability to survive in the local conditions and the visual beauty they offer, ensuring interest throughout the year. We installed beautiful stone walks made of locally sourced granite that combine great curb appeal with durability and maintenance-free upkeep. Functional and comfortable custom concrete seating areas were designed to welcome family and friends to enjoy the space and surrounding nature. Perhaps the most interesting part of this is the presence of the colorful garden beds planted with aromatic herbs and flowering perennials to attract local pollinators and promote biodiversity. We had to plan and order each plant with care for both the role they play in growing and maintaining our garden and the the visual desirability of the resulting tapestry of flora. The final product of the Midtown represents an outdoor sanctuary that both aesthetically and functionally strikes that perfect balance. The final outcome amazed the client and he appreciated our efforts to implement his concept with precision and execute the landscape elements in integration with the overall design. The family will enjoy this tranquil oasis for many years, all while contributing to the property getting a face-lift from the street view.
